Soundsation SMICS-550-BK Low Height Microphone Boom Stand with Tripod Base

The Soundsation SMICS-550-BK is a low-profile microphone boom stand built for miking sources that sit close to the floor. With a compact 540 mm height, a sturdy steel tripod base and a telescopic boom arm that adjusts in angle, length and distance, it puts your microphone exactly where it needs to be in front of guitar cabinets, bass amps, kick drums and floor toms, on stage or in the studio.

Key Features

• Low-height design: 540 mm stand height keeps the mic close to amps, kick drums and other floor-level sources.
• Telescopic boom arm: Extends from 58 to 91 cm with adjustable angle and distance for precise mic placement.
• Steel tripod base: Stable, foldable tripod legs for secure support on stage and in the studio.
• All-steel construction: Durable build with a black painted finish that looks clean on any stage.
• Portable: At only 2 kg, it is easy to carry, set up and pack away between gigs.

Pro-Tip

For a punchy guitar tone, position the mic 2–5 cm from the speaker grille, slightly off-centre from the dust cap. Use the telescopic boom to fine-tune the angle without moving the stand base.
